- more than 50 orchestral, chamber and electroacoustic works, a large number have been performed at main concert venues both in Europa (Darmstadt Summer Courses, Warsaw Autumn, VN:M Graz, Prague Spring Festival, Moscow Autumn, Melos-Etos, Audio-Art, Europalia, Wiener Festwochen, Music Now, Cluj Modern, Ad libitum, etc.), Asia (World New Music Days 2002 Hong Kong) and in USA by reputable musicians (as ensemble recherche, Moscow Contemporary Music Ensemble, Carin Levine, Daniel Kienzy, Zsolt Nagy, Aeolian Trio, PluralEnsemble, Zeitgeist Ensemble,.Israel Contemporary Soloists,..) and have earned him awards in various competitions
- over the last ten years he has been evolving his own particular method of composition characterized primarily by the building-up and organization of various independent musical processes (Medek,I.: An Introduction to Processuality, JAMU 2002, 160p.-engl.version) and the order of a music composition (Medek,I., Pinos,A.: Order of the Music Composition and General Pronciples of its Construction, JAMU 2006, engl. version)
- papers at several international conferences (Mannheim, Graz, Darmstadt Summer Courses – member of the Composer´s Forum, universities in Austria, Germany, Portugal, Holland, Israel, Ukraine, Slovakia, Poland, USA – CalArts, CSU, USC, UNT, UC Santa Barbara, Riverside, Davis, Chapman Un., Thailand, South Korea and elsewhere), tens of texts for theoretical and daily journals and masterclasses
-   1985 co-founder of Art Inkognito, one of the very first Czech contemporary music
     ensembles
-    2000 co-founder of Ensemble Marijan - the group for improvised music and multimedia
     special interest in large multimedia arts projects and improvised music

-    member of the presidium of the Czech Music Council
