She studied composition with Milan Bachorek and Edvard Schiffauer at the Janacek Conservatory of Ostrava (1990-1996), then with Milan Slavicky (Prague Academy of Music, 1996-2002). She participated in the masterclasses with Marek Kopelent and Paul Mefano (Cesky Krumlov, 1997), later on she had lessons with Daan Manneke (the Amsterdam Conservatory of Music, 2001), and finished her postgraduate studies at the School of Arts, Media and Technology in Hilversum, The Netherlands (2002-2003). She is a member of a women composers group "Hudbaby".

Competitions and Awards:

- 1st prize at the International Radio Competition "Concerto Bohemia" in 1998 (Excuses for piano, wood instruments, and percussions);
- 2nd prize at the national competition "Generace" in 1998 (You Are Snowing),
- Special Mention in 1999 (Septet for flute, violin, trumpet, french horn, bassoon, double bass, and piano) and 2000 (Two preludes for two guitars);
- Award for the composition 'Survivors' from the Musica Nova electroacoustic competition in 2003.
