He started to study composition at the Prague conservatory with Bohuslav Rehor (1997 - 2000), after that he continued his studies in composition at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague with Milan Slavický (2009, Ph.D.). While studying at the Academy he participated at many workshops for composers, and in the autumn of 2003 also completed a course at the Royal College of Music in London, led by David Sawer. Currently he is employed at the Academy as a teacher, and he also teaches composition at the New York University in Prague. Two of his compositions were performed at the Prague Premieres Festival (a review of selected contemporary works in Prague), for the first time it was in 2004 (Symphony for chamber orchestra), following was the performance in 2007 (Triple Concerto for piano, two percussionists and chamber orchestra). His newest chamber work Saxophone Quartet had its first perfomance at the Contempuls Festival in Prague (on 19 November 2010, La Fabrika).
